A mother’s love is unconditional in nature. Only a mother can love her child unconditionally. Whenever the world poses a threat, big or small, a mother shields her child from all troubles, regardless of her own safety and life. Mother’s Day is celebrated worldwide on 10th May. The day aims to focus on the feminine power of motherhood. For some, motherhood may refer to a mere physical phase and a social norm, for others, it becomes their entire purpose of existence. I would like to dedicate this writeup to my mother, Jayita Sen. My mom sacrificed her bright career ahead just in order to raise me. She was offered a post at Asiatic Society, yet declined it. In a world which denied to see my existence, ruffling through tattered painting and tattered pages filled with poems, she believed in me.
