Let's Uncomplicate Life!

By Abhishek Haridasan

The Infotainment Coloumn

A partition in your life is needed! And this time, there won't be any remorse! It'll uncomplicate your life and keep your sanity in check. Let's disassociate our personal lives from the life we witness on the 70 mm screen and reels.

Cinema and Life Scope: Millions of us believe that cinema is a reflection of the lives we lead. There is some truth to it, but it is largely a narrative created to sell cinema tickets and fill up cinema halls. While cinema can portray characters within a storyline, it also provides a chance to see how idealism can define our lives. Yet, it's important to demarcate the lines between truth and fiction.

What's Real?: You, your people and the idiosyncrasies you witness. That's the truth. The crests and troughs that we witness across months and years of our lives are the real truth. The flaring egos and our pursuits of spiritual leanings are the whole and sole truth. If we can clearly separate reality from fictional representation, our lives will be simpler and more cohesive.

To prevent hell from breaking loose, scroll through reels and watch movies on the 70 mm reel for pure, cinematic experience and entertainment value. Feel the exhilaration peak, stay entertained for a while, and snap out of it.

Let your conscience return to reality by pinching yourself and return to life as usual. You will realise that the balancing act pays rich dividends in the larger scheme of things, i.e. you stay calm and life moves on at a good pace.

A reality check has been presented to all. I hope you take stock of your life and find peace in whatever keeps you happy. #RealityIsForAll

Those Maternal Instincts

The Gift of Love Initiative  By Ayra Initiative National Welfare Conclave 2025 09 June 2025 Featuring : Author and Philanthropist Abhishek Haridasan                                                   The purest form of love is plenty, yet if there were ever a race to the finish line, especially for pristine and tranquillity, it would be those maternal instincts which come across as a mother's love for her children and those she holds dear to her.  A mother's love, displayed at times through strictness and mostly through careful caressing of hair or a guffawing pull of the cheeks, a mother's love for her dearest cannot be expressed in words, yet defines everything that anyone needs.  When the chips are down and we feel the world is against us, a mother's love and strong instincts lift us up and make us realize how much the world means to u...

A Love Letter - By Riddhima Sen

A mother’s love is unconditional in nature. Only a mother can love her child unconditionally. Whenever the world poses a threat, big or small, a mother shields her child from all troubles, regardless of her own safety and life. Mother’s Day is celebrated worldwide on 10th May. The day aims to focus on the feminine power of motherhood. For some, motherhood may refer to a mere physical phase and a social norm, for others, it becomes their entire purpose of existence. I would like to dedicate this writeup to my mother, Jayita Sen.  My mom sacrificed her bright career ahead just in order to raise me. She was offered a post at Asiatic Society, yet declined it. In a world which denied to see my existence, ruffling through tattered painting and tattered pages filled with poems, she believed in me. Her unwavering faith in my literary talent actually helped me to kickstart my career (Whatever it is) in grade eleven. Even though she was a bit strict initially, she truly does love me. ...
